• Nazi violence

In regard to the violence inflicted on Cal's ex wife, Jiaying. Finding her body after the fact is the inciting incident that lead to Cal losing his mind.

Note that despite his daughter's involvement with SHIELD he differentiates very little between them and HYDRA. Likewise the rights of humans and powered people/monsters etc to autonomy and privacy is a triggering topic for him, as is imprisonment.
